The voting section of the hero contest has moved here.

The "From Model to Hero:Faerie Dragon" contest has entered the preliminary voting phase. This means that you can vote on your favorite hero out of the entries available. There will be 4 threads open with 5-6 contestants each, 2 contestants with the most votes will carry on to the next stage of the contest. Voting can be done here: Link

The 6th Guide Contest was finished last week. The theme was hero guides and there were 12 contestants. The winner in the end was Super_Chode with an outstanding 92 points with his Syllabear guide Link. The second place was a tough fight between Kleech's Troll guide (80 points), Tucker's Enchantress (79 points) and Kai's Weaver (76 points). Results can be found here. The 7th Guide Contest started today, submissions are open for anybody who wants to improve his/her Miscellaneous Guide. Rules can be found here] and the guides are to be posted here. Good Luck and Have Fun!

CPL will announce its summer events in a few weeks. Until then, it's difficult to tell whether or not DotA will earn a spot as either a feature game or BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) event. This is a contest designed to help gather ideas for heroes to be added to DotA. The idea is simple: a base model is provided for the hero (i.e. Human Footman). Every user is allowed to post one hero design based on that model. Everyone will vote on which ones they like the most. The top 3 will be reviewed by myself and a few forum staff members in an attempt to make the hero a reality!

Meet Your Makers has announced their 5th edition of the PriDe tournament. Every team that wants to participate in the tournament is free to sign up - There is no entry fee. The sign ups will be open until Friday, 13th of April 23:59 CEST. If you want to sign up with your team, please go here.

We wish all the teams that will participate the best of luck in this prestigious tournament and may the best team win!

As you can tell, from the dramatic change in appearance, the DotA site has been remade entirely. There are many new features to explore, and many more will be added over the coming days, weeks, and months.
