It is with extreme regret that I have to inform you that a beloved member of the DotA community has passed away. Kasper 'TaZz' Kataoka Sorensen was found dead on August 1st on the Cradle Mountain in Tasmania. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. You will always be remembered.

He is the MYM admin that created the MYM Prime Defending tournament and a very beloved person in the DotA community. He has gone missing on a mountain trip for 2 weeks. The 2nd Annual Item Contest has started but it is not too late to enter. Spanning 640 entries, this item suggestion contest promises to be a doozy. Therefore, we need all the activity we can get for it, and that means asking you to participate! The "From Model to Hero" Contest is drawing to an end. In the this final round, we ask you to choose your 3 favorite Faerie Dragon heroes from the 24 finalists, and you might just see it in Dota soon! The polls are open for a week, so be sure to take your time to read the rules and guidelines, review all the heroes and vote fairly. You can find it here

The finals of the MYM PriDe tournament have just been played between VP and sP. VP already won the upperbracket finals against the same opponents with 2 to 0, giving them a 1:0 advantage for the overall finals. After that, the lower bracket finals were played between sP and x6 that was won by sP, making the overall finals a repeat of the upperbracket finals. In a 84 minute showdown VP won against SP once again making them the overall winners of the MYM PriDe tournament! We would like to congratulate x6, sP and especially VP for their excellent performance during this tournament. For lineups and replays, please visit our forums

Alas, the replay section has been given a make-over. Now you will only see relative information on the homepage. Also, we will now have frequently updated featured replays. ChildLikEmperor will be keeping you up to date with fresh must-see replays to keep you coming back for more!

Not only the replay home page has been given a make-over, go even further in to the browse replays section. Now, you can see the categories along the right-hand side and you can filter by heroes in each category. You can also view the top rated replays in any given category. Much easier to navigate around now.

What's next? The media section will be released sometime next week. The new media section will allow for more pleasant browsing of Videos, Songs, Artwork, and Wallpaper. The best part: you will be able to upload your media and submit youtube videos and have them on the site immediately.

Lots of goodies for you guys will be trickling into the site over the next two months.
